The CDMS Learning Portal is a Learning Management System (LMS) designed for our clients to complete required Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) trainings mandated by various California state regulations and laws. This comprehensive platform allows organizations to manage, track, and deliver online training courses to their employees efficiently. The portal offers features such as user management, progress tracking, certificate generation, and reporting capabilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
To access the CDMS Learning Portal, you’ll receive an email containing a login link, username, and password after your organization has purchased the training. Click on the provided link to reach the login page, where you can enter your credentials. We strongly recommend changing your password upon first login for security purposes.

The CDMS Learning Portal is a web-based platform that works on most modern web browsers. To ensure the best experience:

If an employee forgets their password, it can reset it by following these steps:
By accessing the Reset Password page.
- Go to the Reset Password page.
- Enter your email address and click “Reset Password”.
- Check your email for a password reset link.
- Click the link.
- Introduce a new password.
- Click “Save Password”.
By requesting to the Group Leader of your organization.
As a Group Leader, you can also initiate a password reset for an employee from the Group Management page.
- Go to the Group Management page.
- Locate the employee in the user list.
- Check the box next to their name.
- Click the “Send password reset” button and click on “Send password reset” button again to confirm the action. This process will send an email to the employee with a password reset link. The employee should check their email for a password reset link, click the link, introduce a new password and click “Save Password”.

The CDMS Learning Portal offers various EH&S training courses, including but not limited to DOT (Department of Transportation), Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP), Hazardous Waste Handler, Hazardous Material Right To Know trainings. The available courses are designed to meet specific regulatory requirements in California. Each training consists of video lessons, intermediate quizzes, and a final exam.

As a Group Leader, you have several options to enroll employees in training courses, through the Group Management page:
- Manual enrollment: Add users individually through the “Add One” option or multiple users via the “Add Multiple” option in the Group Management page.
- CSV file upload: For large groups, you can use the “Upload Users” feature to add multiple users at once using a properly formatted CSV file.
- Self-enrollment: Provide employees with a unique enrollment link that allows them to register themselves.

Employees complete their training by following these steps:
- Log in to the CDMS Learning Portal using their provided credentials.
- Access the assigned training course.
- Watch all video lessons in sequence.
- Complete any intermediate quizzes.
- Take and pass the final exam with a score of at least 80%.
- Download or print their completion certificate. The portal tracks progress automatically, allowing users to resume where they left off if they need to complete the training in multiple sessions.
The CDMS Learning Portal provides robust reporting features for Group Leaders to track employee progress. To access these reports:
- Go to the Group Management page.
- Click on the “Reports” button.
- Choose either “Training” or “Progress” reports. The “Training” report gives an overview of all users’ progress across selected courses, while the “Progress” report allows you to view detailed progress for individual users, including completed sections of each course.

The passing score for the final exam is 80% or higher. Employees can retake the exam as many times as necessary to achieve a passing score. After each attempt, the system will provide feedback on which questions were answered correctly or incorrectly, allowing users to focus on areas that need improvement before their next attempt.
As a Group Leader, you can download completion certificates for all employees who have successfully finished their training:
- Go to the Group Management page.
- Scroll down and click the “Download Certificate” button.
- Select “Training Certificates” and choose the specific training course.
- Click “Generate Certificates.”
- Wait for the email notification that the certificates are ready for download.
- Click the provided link and download the ZIP file containing all certificates in PDF format.

While the CDMS Learning Portal offers standardized training courses to be purchased online, to meet general regulatory requirements, organizations need customized content for their facilities.
Please contact us to get a web-based training tailored to your facility.
Typically, employees have access to their assigned training courses for one year from the date of enrollment. This allows sufficient time for completion and review of the material. If you need to extend access for any reason, please contact our administrative support team at adminassistant@cdms.com to discuss your options.
If an employee leaves your organization, you should remove them from the CDMS Learning Portal to free up the training seat for a new employee. To do this:
- Go to the Group Management page.
- Locate the employee in the user list.
- Check the box next to their name.
- Click the “Remove User” button and confirm the action. This process will free up a seat in your organization’s allocation, allowing you to add a new employee as needed.

Yes, the CDMS Learning Portal is designed to be responsive and accessible on various devices, including smartphones and tablets. Employees can log in and complete their training on any device with an internet connection. However, for the best experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer, especially for watching video content and taking quizzes or exams.
The frequency of retraining depends on specific regulatory requirements. Generally, many EH&S trainings require annual refresher courses.
