This course will address the Title 8, Section 5110 of the California Code of Regulations. The course outline is as follows:

  • Back Safety: Goals and Statistics
  • Anatomy and Potential Injuries of the Back
  • Causes and Prevention of Back Injuries
  • Back Posture and Conditioning
  • Safe Lifting Techniques: Equipment and Planning
  • Proper Lifting, Carrying, and Unloading
  • Specialized Lifting: Overhead, Long, and Bag Lifts
  • Team Lifting and Back Safety Awareness

To receive a certificate of completion for this training, a minimum score of 80% on the final assessment is required. You may attempt the final assessment multiple times if needed. After each attempt, you will have the opportunity to review your responses and see the correct answers, allowing you to learn from any mistakes and improve your understanding of the material.
